Services - Private - Distribution Board Changes

Eastfield Technical Services qualified electricians can remove your old non-compliant fuse boards and replace them with the latest distribution board from the range of mains switched isolated board fitted with MCB's, RCD switched isolated board fitted with MCB's or a split board combining both boards to allow lighting to be on the mains switch.

With this split board, if your installation/portable appliance has a problem you will be left with your lights and any other circuits on the mains switch still functioning to allow you to reset the RCD.

All sockets on a ground floor with easy access for plugging in external extension lead for use in the garden/outside should be covered by RCD. We also change three-phase distribution boards or single phase which is found in most domestic properties.

    Important Notice
    The new law introduced in January 2005 allows only qualified Electricians holding a current 16th IEE Regulations City and Guilds qualification may carry out electrical works providing the firm is registered with a governing body such as NICEIC including part P registration or ECA.

    A qualified electrician can oversee the supervision of trainees and a Qualified Manager with one of the governing bodies to test full/part installations, both new and old, for the purpose of issuing Testing Certificates.
