Visual Alarms

Eastfield Technical Services can supply, install, design, commission, repair and maintain visual alarms.

We installated at the Eddie Read Swimming and Diving center, Southampton, visual warning system, induction loop system, fire alarm system, voice evacuation/ public address system, localised music system, and help/alert system for the disabled.

These alarms are often used in conjunction with fire alarms in public buildings, where hearing impared people may have removed hearing aids and therefore would not be aware of audible warning systems being activated.

The visual lights/strobes work in conjunction with signs informing visitors of the correct procedure to follow in the event of such an alarm.

This also complies with The Disability Act 2004.

    Important Notice
    The new law introduced in January 2005 allows only qualified Electricians holding a current 16th IEE Regulations City and Guilds qualification may carry out electrical works providing the firm is registered with a governing body such as NICEIC including part P registration or ECA.

    A qualified electrician can oversee the supervision of trainees and a Qualified Manager with one of the governing bodies to test full/part installations, both new and old, for the purpose of issuing Testing Certificates.
