Electric Gates UK can design, supply, install, commission, service and repair all types of electonic barriers, gates and door systems.

Options for different barrier systems include:

  • Automation for barriers up to 6.5 metres
  • Self locking electo-mechanical gearboxes
  • Protected grade IP 54 built-in control panels
  • Adjustable balance system, galvanized sheet metal frame, enamel finish with a tubular arm and holder fitted with photo-electric cells to ensure the barrier arm cannot come down when the beam is broken
  • Radio controls for remote operation of the barriers from approaching vehicles or from a building
  • Flashing lights will operate when barrier is moving - audio sounders also can be fitted
  • Standby batteries the power supply for these systems are 230volts going down to 24volts D/C which enables
  • Standby batteries to be installed if required to allow operation of the barrier for a short period during a power cut
  • Adjustable movement and approach speeds connection for pre-opening and pre-closing flashing
  • Lights
  • Induction vehicle detection loops for automated exit
  • Many different types of access control systems
  • Intercom systems to security office or reception office
  • Keypad access
  • Proximity card readers
  • Fob readers

The minimum opening time for these types of systems is four to five seconds.

Eastfield Technical Services work with our client and builders to design gate frame systems from which gates can be hung, these can be enclosed by brick or stone for a more aesthetic finish; creating a total solution to individual specifications.

Eastfield Technical Services recommend that gates are galvanized dipped before being painted. Wrought iron railings can also be supplied and installed for use as stand-alone fencing or, to match gate systems.

Different types of automation kits available for swinging gates include:

Eastfield Technical Services can supply and install garage door automation kits for one piece, fully restrainable up-and-over doors, canopy doors, dual track or non-protruding doors, and sectional up-and-over doors. All options are available for single and double garage doors.


A typical installation showing how we supply complete gate systems, carry out ground works, errect the gates, connect up electrically and to security systems; and then make good the surrounding areas.

Eastfield Technical Services can supply and install automatic door openers for conventional doors for private dwellings, retail outlets, hospitals, rest and nursing homes for disabled access to comply with The Disability Act.

    Important Notice
    The new law introduced in January 2005 allows only qualified Electricians holding a current 16th IEE Regulations City and Guilds qualification may carry out electrical works providing the firm is registered with a governing body such as NICEIC including part P registration or ECA.

    A qualified electrician can oversee the supervision of trainees and a Qualified Manager with one of the governing bodies to test full/part installations, both new and old, for the purpose of issuing Testing Certificates.
