Services - Commercial - New Installs - Safety Checks

Eastfield Technical Services will carry out a full assesment of your commercial equipment:
  1. Check that the electrical equipment is suitable for the work and way in which it is going to be used
  2. Check that the electrical equipment is in good condition.
  3. Check that the equipment is suitable for the electrical supply with which it is going to be used, and the installation is safe.
  4. It is often beneficial to use a Residual Current Device (RCD) between the electrical supply and the equipment.
  5. Make sure that the user of the equipment is trained to use it safely and can keep others safe.
  6. Make sure the user knows which personal protective equipment to wear and how to use it.

From January 2005 only Qualified Electricians with NICEIC or ECA registered bodies have been allowed to carry out electrical works, supervision of trainees and testing with Certificates.

    Important Notice
    The new law introduced in January 2005 allows only qualified Electricians holding a current 16th IEE Regulations City and Guilds qualification may carry out electrical works providing the firm is registered with a governing body such as NICEIC including part P registration or ECA.

    A qualified electrician can oversee the supervision of trainees and a Qualified Manager with one of the governing bodies to test full/part installations, both new and old, for the purpose of issuing Testing Certificates.
