Eastfield Technical Services

Company History 1985 to 1990

The Eastfield group was founded by Mr Colin J Harrison in August 1988 following three successful years as a sole trader, under the name of Eastfield Electrics from his office and workshop in Eastfield Lane, Ringwood, Hampshire.

The Eastfield group, after just a short time, showed itself to be a winner in its field. By 1990 Eastfield had a fleet of vans on the road, with a team of electricians under Mr Colin J Harrison. Work was undertaken from as far as Cornwell, up to South Wales, to London and back down to Brighton.

The type of work was as different as the distance. Eastfield carried out a 24/7 emergency call-out service to local home owners and over a larger area gave the same service to businesses, including a full after-sales service contract after installation.

Eastfield carried out servicing of door entry systems and maintained electrically operated door systems for McCarthy & Stones which took Eastfield vans all over the south of England. Another client, Henderson Doors based in Ringwood, saw Eastfield vans travelling to the far west coast including South Wales.

Eastfield undertook a number of commercial projects in the London area, carrying out 3-phase electrical works from the electricity distribution boards. This included work from the Electricity Board's meter, running main sub-mains to light circuits, light systems and power circuits both in single/three phase outlets.
